Automobile Industry Comeback
This past year, 2009, has been a most unstable year for the majority of automobile manufacturers. Large conglomerates that were once to have been thought of as untouchable and recession proof have even suffered and proven that they are not. A very select few American and European companies have been able to regain a substantial amount of stability. Unfortunately the vast majority have not and continue to report massive current and expectant losses. Most qualified analysts concur that they will not truly begin to show any signs of recovery from this economic lapse until at least the third quarter of the coming year.
The types of vehicles that are keeping the major manufacturers going are newer, more energy efficient, hybrid sedans. Which is great and all fine and dandy. But what about the light truck and SUV customers?
Above all other vehicle types that are being effected by this recession, trucks and SUVs have been hit the hardest. Being that they are much larger and heavier they also require a higher economic commitment. Which in times like these is something not many people are willing to take on. For the most part those that are currently supporting the truck and suv industry are former heavy truck and large SUV owners downsizing to small more efficient varieties. The cooperations that manage a fleet of vehicles have been feigning off the purchase of new vehicles in exchange of increased maintenance of the vehicles they currently own. But as we all know, that only helps for so long.
It is being reported that throughout this coming year there will be a slow and steady increase in the production and the sales of trucks and SUVs. Although this sounds like the good news we have all been waiting to hear, there will probably not be a noticeable gain until at the third quarter. Experts say that it will be closer to the first quarter of 2011 before a substantial gain is realized.
Don’t fret, the coming year is due to be a much better and productive year than this past year was. Growth in the automobile and truck industry is eminent. As other As other industries climb there way back out of this recession, the automobile industry will too. We as customers just need to practice a bit more patience.
